I purchased this rug to use in our unfinished basement, and it has worked out very well! It is easy to clean with a vacuum or shampooer, and provides reasonable coverage for our needs. I wanted to have an area to store items without them being on the concrete floor, and this has fit the bill for that. It would also look nice in a rec-room, playroom, or high-traffic area. To me, this is not the type of rug that Id like to have in a bedroomliving room area, as it looks durable and not luxurious. I dont equate luxurious with expensive, but instead with a very different feel to the carpet. This carpet reminds me of the old school Berber carpet in a doctors office or office, and that is exactly what I wanted. I would not like that same feeling, however, in a living or bedroom space.
